Stanislaw Sawicki, Jr. receives medal for his late father
On April 30, 2010
during a ceremony attended by state and government officials, Stanislaw Sawicki Jr. received the Monte Cassino Medal of Honor for his late father who fought and served in the 2nd Polish Corps of General Wladyslaw Anders at the Battle of Monte Cassino in 1944.
The medal was bestowed by Princess Diana Lenska and the Royal Order Kingdom of Poland.
Princess Diana Lenska also delivered a speech and resolution that was presented to Washington and the President of the United States.
